Complete Your First Restock

Learn the full restock workflow from pick list to completion.

Overview​

The restock process in VendVice:

  1. Generate a pick list
  2. Pick products from warehouse
  3. Restock machines
  4. Record the restock

Step 1: Generate Pick List​

  1. Go to Restock in the sidebar
  2. Select the machines you want to restock
  3. Click Generate Pick List

VendVice calculates what's needed based on:

  • Current stock levels
  • Par levels you've set
  • Recent sales velocity

Step 2: Review the Pick List​

The pick list shows:

  • Products to pick, sorted by warehouse location
  • Quantities needed for each machine
  • Total quantities to pick

Adjust quantities if needed:

  • Click on any quantity to edit
  • Add notes for specific items
  • Remove items you don't have in stock

Step 3: Print or Export​

Click Print to get a paper copy for the warehouse, or Export to send to a mobile device.

The printed list includes:

  • Product names and SKUs
  • Barcodes for scanning
  • Quantities by machine
  • Space for notes

Step 4: Pick Products​

In your warehouse:

  1. Follow the pick list order (optimized for your layout)
  2. Check off items as you pick
  3. Note any substitutions or shortages

Step 5: Restock Machines​

At each machine:

  1. Open the machine
  2. Follow the pick list for that machine
  3. Fill each slot to the indicated quantity
  4. Note any issues (damaged products, stuck items, etc.)

Step 6: Complete the Restock​

Back in VendVice:

  1. Open your pick list
  2. Click Complete Restock
  3. Enter actual quantities if different from planned
  4. Add any notes about the restock
  5. Click Submit

What Happens Next​

When you complete a restock:

  • Inventory levels are updated automatically
  • The restock is logged for history
  • Pick list is marked as completed
  • Analytics are updated

Tips for Efficient Restocking​

  • Batch restocks - Restock multiple nearby machines in one trip
  • Set good par levels - Reduces over/under stocking
  • Use the mobile app - Record restocks in real-time at the machine
  • Review suggestions - VendVice learns from your patterns
