Add Your First Machine

Get your first vending machine set up in VendVice in just a few minutes.

What You'll Need​

  • Machine name/identifier
  • Machine type (snack, beverage, etc.)
  • Location information (optional but recommended)

Step 1: Navigate to Machines​

From the dashboard, click Machines in the left sidebar.

Step 2: Add New Machine​

Click the Add Machine button in the top right corner.

Step 3: Enter Machine Details​

Fill in the machine information:

  1. Machine Name - A friendly name like "Break Room Snacks" or "Lobby Drinks"
  2. Serial Number (optional) - The manufacturer serial number
  3. Machine Type - Select the type that best describes your machine
  4. Location - Select an existing location or create a new one

Step 4: Save​

Click Save to create your machine.

You'll be taken to the machine detail page where you can:

  • Set up the planogram
  • Assign products to slots
  • Configure pricing

Next Steps​

Now that your machine is created:

  1. Set up the planogram - Define which products go in which slots
  2. Add products - Make sure your product catalog is ready
  3. Connect an integration - Automate data sync from your telemetry provider

Tips​

  • Use consistent naming conventions for easier searching
  • Group machines by location for better organization
  • Set up machine types to improve reporting accuracy
